68 cases reported of eye infection in province: Javed Akram

Caretaker Minister for caretaker Punjab Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Dr. Akram Javed says sixty-eight cases have been reported of eye infections from the province.

He stated this while addressing the joint press conference along with caretaker Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondry Healthcare Dr Jamal Nasir at DGPR in Lahore today.

He said that microbiologist are also part of the committee. He said that services of forensic laboratory also taken to probe the matter. He said officials of DRAP also included in the committe.

He said that all culprits involved in this scandal will be brought to justice. He said that Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also monitor the matter personally.

He also advised people to take precautionary measures in eye infection.

On this occasion, caretaker Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondry Healthcare Dr Jamal Nasir lauded the role of media for highlighting this Avastin injection scandal. He said government also made a dash board and all data of patients will be available on portal.

He said that some mafia also spreading misinformation regarding this matter.

He said that we are also presiding in the meeting of provincial service quality board.He said that indiscriminate actions are also taken against eleven drug inspectors.

On this occasion, Dr Sohail said that all sampling has been collected from the suspected batch of Avastin injection batch.

He said that Avastin injection is time tested. He said this is a golden time to fix the issues regarding imposters, exporters, and drug inspectors.

He said that we are unearthed by the issue and people have to believe in us.
