Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Mufti Abdul Shakoor says the religious ministry is committed to serve the intending hajj pilgrims in best manner.

Addressing Hajj Conference 2022 organized under the aegis of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony and Hajj Organization Association of Pakistan (HAOP), he said that government will take every possible step to facilitate Hajj pilgrims.He said that the government has reduced the hajj expenditure from one million to six hundred and fifty thousand rupees in the best interest of pilgrims.He said transparency will be ensured in the Hajj 2023.

He stressed the need for eradication of corruption from the society to achieve the development goals. He said we will strive hard to provide best facilities to the pilgrims. He said that government will take strict action against those who are involved in corrupt practices under the guise of Hajj.

Mufti Abdul Shakoor assured HAOP to resolve their issues at the earliest.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Maulana Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi says Saudi Arabia always supported Pakistan in crucial times.

Leader of Opposition in Senate Yousaf Raza Gillani said that country’s economic stability is linked with political stability. He said that government has taken difficult decisions to steer the country out of crisis. He said that abiding by the constitution is impretaive to strengthen the democratic norms in the country.Later, the Religious Minister distributed shields among the organizers.
