Punjab cabinet has decided to impose ban on pillion riding in province on 9th and 10th Moharram ul Haraam.
Today’s meeting in Lahore, chaired by Chief Minister Chudhary Pervaiz Elahi also gave approval for foolproof security during Muharram ul Haram especially Ashura.
He directed for implementation of code of conduct agreed upon for Muharram-ul-Haram in letter and spirit.
The cabinet also gave approval for re-establishment of Cabinet Standing Committee for Finance and Development, to be headed by Provincial Minister Sardar Mohsin Laghari and Cabinet Committee for Law and Order, to be headed by another Provincial Minister Raja Bashrat.
The cabinet also expressed grief over loss of precious human lives during flood and rain related incidents.Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister expressed resolve that Punjab government will deliver to people.
