LWMC Cleanliness Operation Continues across the city

The Lahore Waste Management Company is working tirelessly to provide exemplary cleaning services to the citizens of Lahore and to ensure timely removal and disposal of waste from every nook and corner of the city. Mechanical washers and sweepers have been deployed across the city to clean the major roads. As per the directions of CEO LWMC Rafia Haider operation teams and officers are active in the field on holidays as well for the convenience of the citizens and to maintain the best possible cleanliness arrangement in the provincial capital.

The process of mechanical sweeping and washing on major roads and markets of the city continued even on holiday. Deputy CEO Fahad Mehmood paid a surprise visit late at night to review the ongoing mechanical sweeping and washing in the night shift. Deputy General Manager Operation Bilal Ashraf gave a briefing on the mechanical sweeping and washing in the night shift. The working hours of mechanical washing and sweeping have been increased from 10pm till 6am to 10pm till 12pm. CEO LWMC Rafia Haider says that mechanical sweeping and washing will continue on major roads till 12 noon in the morning shift. During the night shift, mechanical washing has been carried out at Gulberg Town, Jail Road, Qurtaba Chowk, Liberty Market, MM Alam, Abid Market, Khayaban e Jinnah, Canal Road, Punjab Assembly Road, Mall Road, Wapda Town Roundabout and adjoining areas. During the night shift, more than 220 sanitation workers participated in manual cleaning of major roads. Mechanical sweeping and washing on Mall Road, Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Canal Road and other major roads will continue in the morning shift as well. She further said that LWMC is using all possible resources to keep the city clean and special cleaning measures have been taken to ensure uniform standard of cleanliness throughout the city. Mission Clean Lahore cannot be completed without the cooperation of citizens. Citizens should play their role in maintaining cleanliness. Citizens are requested to dump their waste in the bins.
