. The provincial minister Agriculture Syed Jhania Gerdaizi chaired an important meeting in Khanewal to review security arrangements in connection with Moharram. The provincial minister was given a detailed briefing about the arrangements regarding peace and order in Khanewal, especially on Ashura Day. The provincial minister said on this occasion that scholars of all schools of thought should promote harmony and tolerance while everyone has to play his role to maintain the atmosphere of peace during Muharram. The Provincial Minister of Agriculture further said that the services of scholars and priests cannot be forgotten.Hazrat Imam Hussain’s struggle against oppression is an eternal message. The Deputy Commissioner told the Provincial Minister that all the departments of the district administration are fully alert while he was monitoring all the arrangements himself. DPO Khanewal told the provincial minister during the briefing that 2083 personnel are being deployed for security on Ashura Day while those spreading mischief will be dealt with strictly.Deputy Commissioner Zaheer Abbas Chatta, DPO Jalil Imran Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners and representatives of various departments were present in the meeting.
