Human Rights, HFO works together for capacity building of District committees

Human Rights department in collaboration with Human Friends Organisation organized an inaugural seminar on capacity building of district committees for the promotion of human rights across the Punjab. Sajid Christopher, President of the HFO, explained the aims and objectives of the seminar. He briefed that with the help of Human Rights department work on capacity building of district committees. DD HR Muhammad Yousuf said that 36 committees have been formed at the district level which are working for human rights while for the first time in the history of Punjab a human rights policy has been implemented. MPA Sardar Mahendra Pal Singh said that the best man in the world is the one who works for humanity and undoubtedly Sajid Christopher’s name is prominent. He stressed that no institution can work alone, all religions / social workers, media, judiciary, government must work together for human welfare. Maulana Asim Makhdoom said that If we work for the betterment and welfare of humanity, both the world and the hereafter will be better, while working for the betterment of anyone should be one of our priorities. Other speakers also gave short speeches and paid tribute to the efforts of the Human Friends Organization. Senior Pastor Emmanuel Khokhar, Chairman Tahora Welfare Society Mirza Asadullah Saeed, Allama Hafiz Kazim Raza Naqvi, Allama Asghar Arif Chishti, Qasim Ali Qasmi, representatives of Lawyers Forum and others were present on the occasion.
