Govt wants to promote religious tourism in country

Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Syed Imran Ahmad Shah says the government wants to promote religious tourism in the country and several steps are being taken in this regard as well.

He expressed these views while talking to media at Evacuee Trust Property Board in Lahore today.

He said opening up Pakistan for the religious tourism is of vital importance and recommendation has also been made by the Committee to Evacuee Trust Property Board in this regard.

He said the committee, during its meeting at ETPB, also recommended that renovation of all the Gurdwaras including Gurdwara Nankana Sahib and Gurdwara Panja Sahib and temples must be completed on war-footing.
