Punjab Minister for Livestock & Dairy Development Shahab-Ud-Din Khan says measures are being taken on emergency basis for prevention of lumpy skin disease in cattle.
He stated this during an awareness campaign in Sheikhupura today.
He said that farmers are being made aware about reason, spread and prevention of this disease. He said Punjab Chief Minister ordered for effective measures against this disease. He urged media to play their due role for spreading awareness against this disease.
He said that estimate is being carried out about loss of livestock in flood hit areas. He also directed officials to carried out indiscriminate action against factories made un-standarized food of animals.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Minister also visited Livestock Training Center and participated in Kissan Forum.
