Every religion teaches service to ailing humanity: Robinson Aziz Francis

Special Assistant of Chief Minister of Punjab for Human Rights Robinson Aziz Francis said that more work needs to be done to promote religious harmony and tolerance, while the role of Ulemas and others have been commendable to preaching tolerance and patience in the society. These views were expressed by Robinson Aziz Francis while speaking at an event organized by the Department of Human Rights and a private welfare organization on religious harmony. Robinson Aziz said that during the Tehreek-e-Insaf government, many efforts were made to promote religious harmony and tolerance, but still a lot remains to be done in this field. Chairman Royat Hilal Committee Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad said in his address we all should have to promote a culture of tolerance in the society and discourage such actions which sow seeds of hatred in the society while promoting mutual respect and brotherhood from every member, our moral duty. Chairman Kul Masalik Ulema Board Maulana Asim Makhdoom said in his address that new commitments must be made in the new year so that no one can be allowed to spread hatred in their ranks and to ensure the protection of human rights we all need to perform our responsibilities in a positive way. He further said that peace and love are being taught from Mosques, temples, churches or Gurdwaras so that the positive aspect of Pakistan can be brought to the world and the world will know that Pakistan is the only country where all religions have freedom of their worship. Other religious scholars also addressed the event and expressed their determination to play their full role in the promotion of religious harmony and tolerance.
