CMPb vows to provide free medicines to patients in emergency & complete project within stipulated time

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has reaffirmed commitment to leave no stone unturned to provide state-of-the-art health facilities to general public across the province.

The resolve was expressed while inaugurating the development work of trauma centre and emergency ward at Jinnah hospital in Lahore on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that seven-storey building of trauma centre and emergency block will be completed at the cost of over eight billion rupees.

Highlighting the facilities of the trauma centre, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that centre will consist of 256 beds and diagnostic lab will provide the pathology and radiology services to the patients.

The Chief Minister said that lift, ramp, wheelchair, stretcher and other facilities will also be provided to the patients and their relatives.

He vowed to provide free medicines to patients in emergency and complete the project within stipulated time.The Chief Minister was also given a detailed briefing about the project by Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Secretary Health Ahmed Javaid Qazi.
