Secretary Health Ali Jan Khan says Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz is personally monitoring the provision of free medicines in all indoors, emergency and out door patients (OPDs) of public hospitals.
While chairing a meeting on the situation of District Headquarters Hospital, Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Basic Health Units and Rural Health Centers in Lahore today, he said that top-up medicines for OPDs patients will be provided soon. He said that Chief Minister monitoring teams will also review provision of free medicines.He said all CEOs are responsible to upload record of medicines on MMIS portal.
Secretary Health Ali Jan Khan also expressed displeasure over unsatisfactory situation of Sargodha, Hafizabad and Chakwal health centers. He said that he will visit these centers again and review the performance. He urged to improve infrastructure in BHUs and rural health centers. He said negligence will not be tolerated in this regard.
