Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Dr. Javed Akram visited Sundus Foundation center on Friday. Yasin Khan, senior official of Sundus Foundation along with his team presented the bouquet to the caretaker provincial health minister.

The Dr Javed Akram met with innocent children suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia and other blood diseases and distributed gifts among them. Dr. Javed Akram also inspected the lab, diagnostic center and other medical facilities at Sundus Foundation. Yasin Khan, while giving a briefing to the caretaker provincial health minister said that the best medical facilities are being providing to the children suffering from various diseases in the center.

On this occasion, Dr. Javed Akram expressed his views and said that taking preventive measures to control thalassemia disease in Pakistan has become an important need of the hour, while thalassemia disease can be controlled only through pre-marriage screening test. Dr Javed Akram further said that the increase in the rate of thesalemia in Pakistan is alarming. Javed Akram paid tribute to entire team of Sundus Foundation for providing the best medical facilities to children suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia and other blood diseases and expressed his determination that an agreement will be signed between Sundus Foundation and the University of Child Health Sciences for the treatment of thalassemia children. He said that complete treatment of thalassemia disease is only bone marrow transplant. He also paid tribute to late Muno bhai’s services to the suffering humanity through the platform of Sundus Foundation and assured that the government will continue to support Sundus Foundation in the future also.
