Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Dr. Akhtar Malik has said that the best health facilities are being provided to patients in healthcare center across the province.
He stated this while chairing a meeting in Lahore today.
During the meeting, the Roadmap Team briefed the Minister about malnutrition and situation of communicable diseases across the province. The meeting reviewed the human resource data and services structure.
Addressing the meeting, the Minister said effective monitoring is made made through global survey, independent survey and team visits.
He said service quality is being improved through effective monitoring.He said special centers have been allocated to overcome the issue of malnutrition in children.
Dr. Akhtar Malik said scope of rural ambulance service 1034 is being extended. He informed that seventy-three percent deliveries is in government health facilities centers.He said recruitment drive will soon start on the post of doctors and other relevant health department seats. He said a policy has been devised to enhance the post of anesthesia specialists. He said referrals cases will be decreased with the appointment of specialist.
