All issues related to cleanliness are being resolved on priority-Khawaja Ahmad Hassan

As per the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) is working vigorously to ensure the exemplary cleanliness in the provincial capital.

In order to monitor and review the cleanliness operation Chairman Lahore Waste Management Company Khawaja Ahmad Hassan visited Outfall Workshop South, North and Thokar Workshop. During the visit, Deputy CEO LWMC Fahad Mehmood, Deputy General Manager Operation Circle 1 Bilal Ashraf, Deputy General Manager Circle 2 Arif Khalil and other officers also accompanied him.

Chairman LWMC Khawaja Ahmad Hassan was briefed on the working of the workshops. He reviewed the working of vehicles and machinery at the workshops followed by giving instructions to the workers for working diligently. He also inspected existing vehicles, route plans, fabrication and repair work for cleanliness of the city. He stated in this regard that all issues related to sanitation are being resolved on priority basis. To provide best cleanliness facilities to the citizens of Lahore is our utmost priority. The organization is committed to provide an integrated sanitation systems to the citizens. LWMC has made its mark by shifting to an operational company from monitoring company. However, many practical reforms are still needed. In order to bring more transparency in the system the monitoring system will be further tightened. He added that department is working robustly and timely departure of vehicles at town level is commendable. Talking about the Thokar workshop he stated that all administrative matters are being completed on an emergency basis to make the new workshop functional. Work will also be started soon to resolve the energy crisis at the local level by focusing on landfill site and waste to energy program. He said that the workers are the real assets of the company and mission clean Lahore is only possible with the efforts of LWMC workers and citizen cooperation. Citizens are also requested to play their role in maintaining cleanliness by avoiding littering. Moreover, in case of any complaint citizens can always dial LWMC helpline or can use Clean Lahore mobile application.
