Literary Session on “NAAMWAR”, a Confluence of Justice and Literature held at PJA

Punjab Judicial Academy hosted a literary session on the theme of “Naamwar” (Renowned), which was attended by the renowned poet Hussain Majrooh as the guest of honor. The session aimed to explore the intersection of literature and justice, emphasizing the significance of humility and service to humanity.

Director General of the Punjab Judicial Academy, Justice (Retd.) Sardar Ahmad Naeem, welcomed the esteemed guest and introduced him to the judicial officers undergoing training. He highlighted the objectives and importance of the literary session, which was organized to promote a deeper understanding of justice and literature.

Hussain Majrooh, in his address, emphasized that serving humanity and upholding justice are the most revered forms of worship. He encouraged the participants to develop a love for literature, which he believes, fosters humility and empathy and create essential qualities in judges to make informed decisions. He also stressed that literature helps judges understand human nature and makes them more compassionate and wise in their judgments.

The participants were enthralled by Hussein Majrooh’s poetry and insights, and they commended the Punjab Judicial Academy’s initiative to organize literary sessions. The session was a testament to the academy’s commitment to promoting a culture of learning and exploration among judicial officers.
