Kh Imran Nazir expressed govts commitment to make Punjab a polio-free province

Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Khawaja Imran Nazir expressed provincial government’s commitment is to make Punjab a polio-free and healthy province.

He expressed these views while chairing a meeting regarding the special anti-polio campaign at the DC Office in Gujranwala.

During the meeting, the DC Gujranwala and CEO Health briefed about the arrangements and measures for the anti-polio campaign.The provincial minister said that on the directions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, an anti-polio campaign has been launched in all districts.

Later, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir visited the THQ Hospital in Lalamusa and inspected the under-construction block for the hospital’s upgradation.Khawaja Imran Nazir visited various wards of the hospital and inquired from patients about the availability of medicines and other facilities.

Speaking on this occasion, the provincial minister said that there is a severe shortage of human resources in the hospital, which will be addressed on a priority basis.He directed the officials of health department to immediately provide the required number of nurses, paramedical staff and consultant doctors in the hospital.He also directed that the revamping work should be expedited.
