Initial reports of the recent explosion near Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport suggest that the attack was carried out with the support of foreign intelligence agencies.
According to Express News, a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) report submitted to the counter-terrorism court said that the suicide bombers targeted Chinese engineers as part of a conspiracy to weaken ties between Pakistan and China.
The report attributed the attack to the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).
It shows that unknown terrorists parked their vehicles near the Chinese convoy before detonating the explosives.
The explosion occurred near the exit signal of the Jinnah International Terminal, right in front of the CAA security office.
After hearing the explosion, police arrived at the scene and found injured people, including police and security personnel.
This incident left three people dead, including two Chinese nationals named Li Jun and Sun Huazhen.
More than a dozen people, including Waqar, Elias, Naeem, Rano Khan, Azim, Tariq, Ali, Hamza and Sabi, were injured.
15 cars were completely destroyed in this explosion.
A report was lodged at the airport police station under the supervision of airport police personnel.
The CTD report includes charges such as murder, attempted murder, assault, use of explosives and terrorism.
The results of preliminary investigations confirm that the explosion at Karachi airport was a suicide attack
A preliminary investigation report into the suicide attack near Jinnah International Airport in Karachi earlier this week confirmed that 70 to 80 kilograms of explosives were used in the tragic incident.
According to Express News, this explosion specifically targeted a convoy of Chinese nationals and caused significant damage, destroying three vehicles and injuring 12 others.
According to the bomb squad’s assessment, the attackers waited for the convoy to arrive before firing vehicles loaded with explosives at their target.
The attack, which took place at a traffic light near the airport, raised serious concerns about the safety of foreign delegations in the region.
Officials viewed the incident as a deliberate attempt to target Chinese nationals, especially given the ongoing cooperation projects between Pakistan and China.
The research focused on understanding the motivations behind the bombing and its impact on bilateral relations.
To identify the perpetrators, investigators identified the vehicle used in the attack as belonging to Shah Fahad, a resident of Nushki, Balochistan.
Authorities expanded their investigation in the area, analyzing data on Fahd’s identity and phone records to get a clearer picture of the circumstances surrounding the attack.
