Chairperson of the Punjab Women Protection Authority, Hina Pervaiz Butt, submitted the Punjab Acid Control Bill 2024to the Punjab Assembly Secretariat.
In a statement today, Hina Pervaiz Butt highlighted that the bill was developed with the support of the Initiative for Sustainable Development.
She emphasized that the bill aims to regulate the sale and purchase of acid in order to combat acid attacks and ensure the safety of women across the province.
Hina Pervaiz Butt also stated that once approved, the bill will be enforced immediately throughout Punjab.
