In view of the increasing smog and air pollution, the Environmental Protection Agency Punjab has intensified monitoring of development projects.
In a statement, the Director General Environmental Protection Agency Punjab, Imran Hamid said that fugitive dust from construction sites is a cause of air pollution. He said that implementing standards operating procedures SOPs at construction sites is essential to control fugitive dust.
He said that teams deployed for dengue surveillance will also inspect construction sites.
He said that surveillance squads will check standards operating procedures (SOPs) along with dengue measures at construction sites.
Environmental Protection Agency has issued a notification in this regard.
