A review meeting on the ongoing Health Projects, chaired by Chief Minister’s Advisor on Health, retired Major General Azhar Mehmood Kayani and Secretary Health Nadia Saqib, was held in Lahore today.
During the meeting, the progress of 80 ongoing health facilities, as per the Chief Minister’s instructions, was thoroughly reviewed.
The completion matters of one DHQ, 10 THQ hospitals, 9 trauma centers, 28 basic health units, 24 rural health centers,l and other projects were discussed.
It was decided to prioritize the completion of up to 70% of the ongoing projects within this year.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister’s Health Advisor, retired Major General Dr. Azhar Mahmood Kayani, emphasized the swift completion of the ongoing development schemes.
He stated that no compromise should be made on the construction quality of the projects.
He assured that 80 ongoing projects would be completed within this fiscal year.
Addressing at the meeting, Secretary Health directed planning officers and health CEOs to personally inspect all projects and submit reports on construction quality.
Nadia Saqib said that every possible measure is being taken to ensure the timely completion of ongoing projects.
She said that the revamping of all basic and rural health centers would be completed by March 2025.
She said that the completion of these projects would provide modern and quality healthcare services to the public at the local level.
The meeting was attended by Special Secretary for Development Barkullah Khan, Additional Secretaries, Director General of Health Services, Director General of Drug Control and the Project Director of PMU.
