Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza conducted visits to various locations in Tehsil Shalimar and reviewed the cleanliness and removal of slums in the China Scheme area.
On this occasion, the Assistant Commissioner Shalimar Anam Fatima briefed the DC Lahore.
The DC Lahore was apprised that over 1,000 nomads and 300 tents were present in the China Scheme area. A joint operation by MCL and LWMC teams has made positive progress in cleaning and removing the slums.
He was informed that the operation would continue until the remaining slums are cleared.
While speaking on this occasion, the DC Lahore Syed Musa Raza directed LWMC officials for cleanliness arrangements and not to tolerate any obstacles in this regard.
He emphasized that maintaining cleanliness across the city should be a top priority.
Furthermore, DC Lahore, Syed Musa Raza,also met polio field workers in Block B of the China Scheme.
He said that polio is a sensitive issue and that no compromise would be made on it.
He urged parents to cooperate with polio teams and ensure that their children under five years of age administer polio drops.
He said that two drops of polio vaccine are the key to your child’s bright future.
