Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza inaugurated the polio campaign at DHQ Mian Mir Hospital on Monday morning by administering polio drops to children under the age of five.
CO(MCL) Shahid Abbas Kathia, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Shojain Westro, CO (Health) and UNICEF representatives were also with him.
Speaking on this occasion, theDC Lahore said that the target of administering polio drops to more than 2.2 million children under the age of five in the special anti-polio campaign and the polio campaign will remain continue from 16th December 22nd December.
He said that the polio teams should carry out the polio campaign considering their responsibility and directed that polio drops should be administered to children under the age of five from door to door and no child should remain without taking polio drops.
DC Lahore emphasized that special focus should be given to missed and refused cases in the polio campaign. He said that The goal is to make Lahore city polio-free.
Dc Lahore said that parents should also cooperate with polio teams and it is mandatory to administer two drops of polio to their children. DC Lahore Syed Musa Raza said that two drops of polio are the guarantee of the future of your children.
