Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi, conducted a detailed visit to Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore today where he met with workers and praised them for their hard work and dedication.
On this occasion, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi invited the workers to watch the Tri-Nation Series match on February 8. He assured them that he would personally sit with them to enjoy the match.Mohsin Naqvi also tested the view from the newly installed seats.
The installation of new modern seats at Gaddafi Stadium has been completed, and within a record time of four months, the stadium has been upgraded with state-of-the-art facilities.
During his visit, he inspected all floors, the new dressing rooms, various departments and the newly built hospitality boxes. He announced that the inauguration of the new Gaddafi Stadium would take place in the first week of February.
He said that, for the first time in Pakistan’s history, an internationally equipped, modern stadium has been developed. He said that both players and cricket fans would enjoy the new facilities.
Appreciating the efforts of the entire team, he said that they had worked tirelessly to achieve what seemed impossible.
Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that the Champions Trophy tournament is a matter of national pride and we would further enhance Pakistan’s honour on the global stage.On this occasion, the project director of FWO briefed him on the progress of the project. The Interior Minister especially praised the FWO team for their efforts. Advisor Aamir Mir, Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, directors of infrastructure and domestic cricket, relevant officials from FWO and NESPAK were present on this occasion.
