Pakistan values its bilateral relations with UK: Sardar Saleem Haider

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider stated that Pakistan values its bilateral relations with the United Kingdom.

He stated this during a a meeting with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott in Lahore today.

During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing the challenge of climate change.

Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider expressed gratitude for the UK’s support during difficult times, such as floods and earthquakes. He emphasized that Pakistan has suffered greatly from floods due to climate change, which has also adversely affected the agricultural sector.

He expressed hope that the UK will highlight Pakistan’s climate change issues in international forums. He underscored the importance of supporting farmers for the promotion of agriculture in the country.

As a representative of the federal government in Punjab, he pledged to play a positive role in the betterment of the province.

Sardar Saleem Haider said that the stability of the coalition government is crucial for the country’s stability and that political stability will lead to economic improvement.

The British High Commissioner assured that the UK will provide all possible assistance to Pakistan in tackling climate change.
