Azad Kashmir enforce law restricting public gatherings, 7-years Imprisonment for violators

ISLAMABAD : President Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Advodate Ruler Mehmood, endorsed the official statute, which forces seven years of detainment and quick confinement for unlawful public social events, revitalizes, and dissents.

The advancement came a long time after the central government executed the Public Request and Tranquil Get together Bill 2024, forbidding unapproved public social occasions in Islamabad. Following the president’s endorsement, the law presents punishments for holding social events without authorization in Islamabad, with violators having to carry out upwards of three years in jail and fines.

The law came into prompt impact after the AJK President endorsed the official statute upon government proposal.

Under this new regulation, just enlisted gatherings, associations, and associations are allowed to dissent, with earlier endorsement from the Appointee Chief (DC) being obligatory. Unregistered gatherings or associations are denied from holding any open assembling or dissent.

As per an administration representative, the statute means to safeguard public freedoms and keep up with the rule of law.
