EPA Punjab organizes Smog Awareness Cycling Ride in Lahore

As part of its ongoing efforts against smog, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab organized a Smog Awareness Cycling Ride in Lahore today to encourage citizens to use bicycles and take steps towards a green and smog-free city.

The cycling route started from Liberty, went to Siddique Trade Center and ended back at Liberty. 

Speaking on this occasion, the Director General Environment Protection Authority Punjab, Imran Hamid Sheikh said that the purpose of the Smog Awareness Cycling Ride is to promote environmentally friendly behavior among citizens. He said this will help make Lahore a clean, green, land sustainable city. 

He said to encourage public participation EPA has provided bicycles and it is heartening to see citizens of all ages participating in large numbers to support this cause.

He said that the aim of this cycling event is to raise awareness about environmental pollution in the city.

He said that Lahore is our home and citizens should come forward to promote a healthier environment.
