27 more Palestinian students from war-torn Gaza Strip arrived in Lahore to pursue medical and dental education

In a gesture of solidarity and support, 27 more Palestinian students from the war-torn Gaza Strip have arrived in Lahore to pursue medical and dental education. 

The students were warmly welcomed at Lahore Airport by President of the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman, along with the Vice President Air Marshal (R) Arshad Malik, Chairman of Alkhidmat Health Services Professor Dr. Zahid Latif and government officials.

The students will continue their medical and dental studies in various colleges and universities across Pakistan, made possible through the coordinated efforts of Alkhidmat Foundation, Global Relief Trust and Doctors of Rahman.

Dr. Hafeez ur Rahman highlighted that this initiative is part of the first phase, which aims to bring 192 Palestinian students from Gaza to Pakistan for higher education. 

He expressed his gratitude to the Government of Pakistan, the Palestinian Embassy, and the various medical colleges and universities for their cooperation in ensuring that these students can continue their education.

He said that since the outbreak of the war, Alkhidmat Foundation has been actively involved in rescue and relief operations in Gaza, providing essential services such as food, medical aid, hygiene supplies, and shelter. 

He said that in addition to our efforts in Gaza, we have been supporting Palestinian students in Egypt, Turkey, and Pakistan to ensure their education is not disrupted by the ongoing conflict.

He assured that all necessary facilities, including accommodation and food, would be provided to the Palestinian students during their stay in Pakistan.
