Chairperson Chief Minister’s Directorate for Evaluation, Feedback, Inspection and Monitoring (DEFIM) retired Brigadier Babar Ala ud Din emphasized that providing quality healthcare facilities to the public is the government’s responsibility, and we must ensure that every individual has access to better health services.
He stated this during a visit to the Punjab Healthcare Commission in Lahore, where he received a detailed briefing on the PHC’s performance.
On this occasion, he directed PHC officials to take strict action against unauthorized hospitals and laboratories and to use modern technology to improve the healthcare sector.
He added that, in line with the vision of Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, indiscriminate action will be taken against quacks, which is essential for improving the health system so the public can receive better and safer treatment.
He said that Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is working tirelessly to provide healthcare facilities to the public, and the role of the Healthcare Commission is of great importance in fulfilling her vision.
He directed the authorities to seal the hospitals, clinics, and laboratories run by quacks to protect the public from such health-threatening practitioners.
On this occasion, the Healthcare Commission also expressed its commitment to continue taking effective measures to improve the healthcare system in order to meet the public’s health needs.
Various health issues and their solutions were also discussed during the visit.
