A special exhibition commemorating Defence Day of Pakistan was inaugurated at Lahore Museum by Secretary of Tourism, Archaeology, and Museums, Farid Ahmad Tarar. The exhibition showcases photographs of the war heroes, along with the medals awarded by the Pakistan Army, drawing significant public attention and appreciation.
The exhibition also features historical newspaper clippings from the 1965 war, offering a glimpse into the wartime events and the nation’s spirit during that crucial period. The primary objective of the exhibition is to instill patriotism and love for the homeland among the youth.
Students from various universities performed patriotic songs during the event, further adding to the atmosphere of national pride and enthusiasm.
Speaking at the occasion, Secretary Tourism Farid Ahmad Tarar remarked, “Today’s exhibition is dedicated to the memory of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the 1965 war. Our national heroes, who protect the borders of Pakistan, deserve our highest respect, and this exhibition is a humble tribute to their sacrifices.”
He further added, “It is essential for our youth to remember these great sacrifices and remain motivated to serve the country with the same spirit, ensuring the nation’s safety and progress.”
