On the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Chairperson of the Punjab Women Protection Authority Hina Parvez Butt visited the Service Center in Faisalabad on Saturday to meet Sadia, the affected girl on whom an unknown person had thrown a chemical.
On this occasion, SSP Operations Abdul Wahab, SP Madina Division Saad Arshad, and ASP Mohsin briefed the Chairperson about the case.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson PWPA Hina Parvez Butt said that steps are being taken to ensure the protection of women.
She stated that, in line with Maryam Nawaz’s vision, legislation is being drafted to prevent incidents such as acid attacks.She assured that every possible step will be taken to provide justice to the affected girl.
Chairperson of the Punjab Women Protection Authority, Hina Butt, also appreciated the progress made by the police so far in Sadia’s case.She directed that the culprit be arrested and brought to justice.
She also lauded the efforts and actions taken by the Faisalabad police for the protection of women.
