The 9th Thal Jeep Rally has officially commenced at Changa Manga Teela, with vehicle registrations, tagging, and checks for drivers ongoing. Over 100 vehicles have already registered for the event, including entries from female drivers and various categories of vehicles.
This year, the rally will feature competitions in 4 different categories. Notably, British driver Asif Ali has also completed his registration for the event. To promote female participation, special arrangements have been made, including the inclusion of a women’s category.
The qualifying round will begin on Friday, November 8, 2024, while the stock category and women’s category races will take place on November 9. On November 10, the prepared vehicle category and motorcycle races will be held.
The rally track spans nearly 200 kilometers, covering the districts of Muzaffargarh, Layyah, and Kot Addu. The qualifying round track will stretch over 3 kilometers, with participating drivers practicing on the track today.
The district administration has made exceptional arrangements for the event, with security provided by the police and emergency response teams from Rescue 1122 on standby. Police checkpoints and rescue points have been established along the track.
